GDSTIME EC Axial Fans feature an Electronic Commutation (EC) design, with a DC motor and an integrated AC to DC converter. This design allows them to operate at a high capacity at a smaller physical size, and lower power consumption than standard AC axial fans. The EC-motor design also offers motor speed control and quiet operation. These EC axial fans use high-efficiency brushless DC motors derived directly from an AC power supply. They are available in sizes 60mm, 80mm, 92mm, and 120mm.

Applications The 5 inch EC fan can be used as a dryer fan for a wetsuit/boot/glove dryer, or as a replacement for fans for a 220-volt welder. It is also great for ice makers, AV cabinets, pond air pumps, air hockey tables, CMH grow light ballasts, refrigerator compressor cooling, or ventilation. It can also be used to circulate air in basement windows and exhaust projects.

Easy to Install You just need to connect 2 wires easily to use this EC fan from 110 to 240 volts. The EC fan motors maintain a lower temperature of -25°C to 70°C, providing more reliable operation and a longer service life. The fan blades and frame are made of PBT plastic and are lightweight.

Low Energy Consumption EC fan 120mm features a brushless EC Motor with an 80% power consumption reduction compared with AC fans and shade pole motors, making it more energy-efficient. This EC cooling fan delivers a 116 CFM airflow rate using just 4.5 Watts at max speed.

Large Air Volume The miniaturization of the EC motor design has increased the air area and can get 1.5-3 times the air volume compared to the same AC fan. The focused-flow design allows the fans to deliver air across longer distances.
